\ ANYA TATARENKO

















Anya Tatarenko is an emerging fashion designer residing in San Francisco, CA. Her brand ANYA offers a line of clothing to a woman with a busy lifestyle. The looks can be worn from day to evening with confidence, comfort and style.

Anya attended Apparel Arts, a San Francisco Fashion Design School in 2004. She graduated with Pattern Making and Design Certificate in June 2008 and produced her first line. Since then she has been working in smaller projects, branding and on developing a larger collection.

Since then Anya has been working on expanding her collection and has shown at several high profile fashion events in SF. Digital Summer event in August 2009 was covered by 944 Magazine, it was sponsored by HP, Intel and Edun Live. Autumn Attitudes show was held at an chic Posh salon in the upscale Pac Heights SF neighborhood and was sponsored by Shu Uemura Cosmetics. Anys has a stocklist of selected garments at SF boutique Loft 1513 and also is a freelance designer for several private clients.

Anya knows how to complement a woman’s body; her garments are wearable and project confidence, sexiness and sophistication.

Maggie Trever graduated from Academy of Art University in 2009. Her knitted pieces are bright yarn entwined to mirror her enthusiasm and passion for the fashion world. The exuberant colors speak volumes about this woman and her fabulous upbeat personality. Maggie works with an array of yarns and materials to compose her unique creations.

Mike Seneriches moved to SF 4 years ago from Chicago, and was fascinated by the arts and culture scene of this hip and trendy city. He has been a self taught amateur fashion designer for the last 3 years, amateur photographer, and freelance graphic designer as well. He is starting his label Mikelsen, and presenting for the first time here at Pret A Porter. His favorite designers include, Celine, Marni, Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein, and Lanvin to mention a few.

“I want to make simple, beautiful, and classic clothes than can be worn at any time in the past, present and future. I want a woman to be comfortable, elegant, feel good about herself, and move naturally in my clothes. Clothes should feel organic, not gimmicky; artistic and intrinsic, not costume-y. It’s time for women to be appreciated and valued, and not just seen and heard. I hope to contribute to making San Francisco a fashion forward city with beautiful people inside out.”

Malin Namita Couture embues style incorporating the royal Indian lifestyle and Lucknawi Chikan concepts reminiscent of the Maharaja era. The collection provides a glimpse of the luxurious past that identifies to the monarch until India gained its independence from the the British in 1947.

The inspiration embodies the royal monarchy’s sense of style of sophistication and grace.  The inspiration stemmed from the era’s functions of a royal family, executing the collection’s style is of passion. Malin Namita’s vision eminates from the runways of Europe’s current couture skyline.

Rock Chiq label is introducing fresh fun staple colors. Our clothing line is sexy and has sophisticated cuts for your wardrobe. We want to be recognized as fun loving, spirited, experimenting, ready to go girls. She can mix and match to raise to any occasion/event with chiq-ness still being the understated factor. She picks her fashion sense from the hum-drum of concerts, clubs, and nightlife scenes; hence defining juxtapose of colors, prints, details, and accessories. So you will find her in such places where one needs to stand apart, be recognized, and being applauded to elevate the scene. Come experience getting dressed up with us.

Tosca graduated at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute in 2007. She worked about 2 years as a designer for D.VA Concepts in Shanghai, China. The brand launch for D.VA Concepts was in Dragon-I, Hong Kong. After, she did freelance designing for Escondites in Quito, Ecuador. She also designed freelance collections for AMS by Gindy Laura, Shanghai, and Flava Factory, North Carolina. Her debut collection, HARDSCORE, is designed and handmade in Shanghai. HARDSCORE presentations have been showed at the Shanghai International Creative Industry Week 2009, Jimmy Woo’s fashionweek special during Amsterdam International Fashionweek 2010 and at Charity Fashion Week at Stanford. The Tosca Soraya shoes for HARDSCORE are designed by Tosca Soraya and realized by Momo, a shoe designer based in Lima, Peru.

Fashion Director and Company Founder Skip Pas has been in the leather business since 1986. Formerly General Manager and Assistant Designer while at North Beach Leather, Skip was instrumental in helping North Beach grow from a San Francisco based company to a global business and his expertise and knowledge in the leather industry is unequaled. Skip started West Coast Leather in 2003 after North Beach Leather closed down and has continued to grow the leather fashion business in his own unique way. Designing Leather clothing today is all about a special custom fit, tailored to the client’s needs. With the addition of jewelry, exotic skins, and technology breakthroughs in leather design, Skip and his design team continue to add new inventive collections every season. Since 2003, Skip and West Coast Leather have participated in and supported many charities from the San Francisco Breast Cancer Emergency Fund to the Fireman’s Benefit to help a local injured fireman, to the Wounded Warrior Project and Cher’s Operation Helmet. Skip and West Coast Leather continue to believe that “Giving is Always in Fashion.”

Work is a vertically integrated design and printing company specializing in artist books, apparel, and silkscreen editions.

Copies of our small edition books, which are published under the name Working Journals, can be found in the artist book collections of fine academic libraries such as Yale university, as well as many private collections.

Since the launch of our apparel line (Work Clothes) in April 2009, our online retail space has developed a presence throughout North America and Europe. From our studio and printing facility in Oakland California we handle the design and production of all our pieces, we also provide custom printing for independent artists and designers.

Our current collection of hand printed shirts is composed of pieces that reflect the concept of work in contemporary life. As a brand, we strive to design street wear that is fashionable while remaining culturally and intellectually relevant. Our imagery is derived largely from cinema and American pop culture, with references to literature, global politics, music, and scientific history. Work Clothes are for the mind, body, and soul.
